Proflora 2013

Last week, from October 2nd to 4th, Deliflor participated in Proflora 2013 . This global floriculture event brought over 1,500 buyers from more than 45 countries
As part of the opening ceremony, President of the Republic, Juan Manuel Santos Calderón, awarded ASOCOLFLORES with the Cross of Boyaca , the highest condecoration awarded by the Colombian government , in recognition of 40 years of work on behalf of Colombian floriculture . The Order was received by the president of ASOCOLFLORES , Augusto Solano .
The outstanding varieties competition for chrysanthemum is divided into two subcategories : Chrysanthemum Spray and Disbud . And these are also divided into: Growers and breeders .

For growers in Disbud Chrysanthemum , Uniflor / LibertyBlooms , won an award for the variety Anastasia Lilac . In Spray Chrysanthemum, Capiro , won First Place for variety Merida Splendid and another award for Zembla Lime .
For Breeders in Disbud Chrysanthemum, Deliflor , won first place for the variety Anastasia Star White and another award for the variety Zembla Brazil . Likewise in Chrysanthemum Spray, Deliflor , also won an award for the code 81052 a bright red daisy , which amazed all visitors .

In this show, we had the opportunity to meet with many growers , importers and even supermarkets, with whom we had very interesting conversations and we made relationships that will become a great feedback and great business for our growers .
We thank everyone who visited our booth , and for those who could not, we´ll be waiting for you in two years in Medellin , that´s right, due to the good moment that Medellin is having , recently named as the most innovative city in the world by the Wall Street Journal and Citibank , joined the request of flower growers of Antioquia , the second largest producer in Colombia , carried Proflora directives to designate the Medellin to host 2015 Proflora .

The fair will be held in Medellin from September 30th to October 2nd  2015 .
