For our cuttings production company in Ethiopia, we are looking for a:
MANAGER OPERATIONS
All our cutting production locations are run mainly by managers for whom socially responsible business practices are a priority. The fresh cuttings are transported to the Netherlands by plane or find their way directly to our clients all over the world. The cuttings meet strict phytosanitary requirements and they are subjected to strict quality checks at a number of points during the production process. They are checked, among other things, for uniformity, vigour, diseases and pests.
The job:
You will get to know in detail the different production processes and cultivation technique for the cuttings produced for both Deliflor and Beekenkamp Plants. You have the ultimate responsibility for the total production process. You supervise the production managers and ensure that the set targets are met. You also support staff in their personal development. An educational period of several months in the Netherlands is among the options.
What will be expected from you?
Ability to work and think to higher professional level (Dutch hbo); You have affinity with the agricultural sector and have experience with managing production processes. You have the drive to work in Africa. You are confident about your own abilities and have the ambition to make your mark in a leading company. You are very interested in all matters relating to cultivation and take responsibility for the whole production process of different Beekenkamp Ornamentals and Deliflor products. Of course you possess enterprising abilities, a high degree of flexibility and a pioneering spirit. Finally, you are the General Manager’s sparring partner.
